Leland Dental is Getting Even "Greener"
We are excited to announce that we have now fully converted to digital radiographs (X-rays) for diagnosis. In addition to eliminating the need for processing chemicals and films, which are not easily recycled, this new technique also presents other benefits.
These Benefits Include:
1.) A better display of the patient’s films because the X-Ray is magnified
on the screen right in front of you. This makes it easier to get a good look at the problem and allows the patient to better understand a treatment recommendation.
2.) We are pleased to say this method allows for a lower dose of
radiation, although exposure from dental X-Rays throughout recent
history has never been a problem.
3.) Storing health records electronically allows us to swiftly send X-Rays
to insurers and other practitioners, for example, an oral surgeon or to a dentist in another city if a patient has an emergency while traveling.
